Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The worldwide success of his career has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. In the year 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was made available by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. It peaked at number eight in the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and him in the following year. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel for Mala Influencia and debuted the album Dopamina that year. He appeared in 2021 in a duo with TINI for her hit music video Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo's parents and brothers were musicians when he was born. Turizo has told interviews that music was a necessity. He was taught how to play the saxophone, guitar ukulele and keyboard as the age of a small child. Although his first career choice was becoming a veterinarian his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons with one of the Cuban.
